Note Sheet
Working on Word Choice (ways to begin focus on 25 words or less requirement)
John M. typed a summary of his research into Wordle so he could see what key words came up. This was a way he could determine what words he could align his pictures with his message and make smart decisions about word choice for his task.
Picture Selection: Students were asked to select 20 pictures that they believe support their purpose and the mood they were trying to create. This was a new skill and approach for students, so I asked them to write about their pictures inorder to get a glimpse of their thinking. After selecting 20 pictures, they needed to narrow down their selection to 8-10 pictures. Once they narrowed down their selection, they had to write a paragraph explaining why the 8-10 were the best choice.
